Savitri Ammal Oriental Higher Secondary School hosted its Sports Day and Prize Distribution Function on 3rd September 2026 at the school campus, bringing together students, teachers and the school community for a vibrant celebration of sportsmanship, discipline and healthy competition.

The occasion was graced by Dr. Rakesh Shankar Ravisankar as the Chief Guest. Dr. Rakesh Shankar Ravisankar is an accomplished scholar with qualifications including CMA, CA, CS, M.Com., MBA (Finance), M.A. in Economics, M.A. in Tamil Literature and Vaishnavism, along with a Certificate in Banking, Insurance & E-Commerce and a Ph.D. His presence and words of encouragement added great value to the celebrations and inspired the young participants.

The Sports Day witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various sporting events, including running races, relay races, shot put and long jump. The young athletes displayed remarkable enthusiasm, determination and competitive spirit as they gave their best on the field. The events provided students with an opportunity to demonstrate not only their physical abilities but also the values of perseverance, teamwork and fair play.

Adding colour and energy to the celebrations, students also presented a series of engaging performances, including aerobics, dance, Silambam and yoga. These presentations showcased the students’ versatility, coordination and confidence, making the occasion an enjoyable experience for everyone present.

The celebrations culminated in the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where winners of the various sporting events were felicitated for their achievements. The presentation of trophies, medals and prizes marked a proud moment for the young champions and acknowledged their dedication and hard work.
