Building an Addiction-Free Future – Awareness Programme by Brahma Kumaris

As part of its commitment to promoting healthy, responsible, and value-based living among young people, the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya conducted an Addiction-Free Awareness Programme for the students of Savitri Ammal Oriental Higher Secondary School.

The programme was organised under the “10 Crore Addiction-Free Pledge Mega Campaign”, an initiative aimed at encouraging children and adolescents to make informed and responsible life choices and work towards an addiction-free future. The awareness session addressed the importance of preventing substance abuse and highlighted the impact of addictive habits on an individual’s physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Through an age-appropriate and interactive approach, students were encouraged to embrace healthy lifestyle choices, positive thinking, responsible decision-making, and value-based living. The programme also included the National Addiction-Free Pledge, providing students with an opportunity to make a personal commitment towards maintaining a healthy and addiction-free lifestyle.

The school appreciates the Brahma Kumaris for their valuable contribution towards creating awareness among young minds and for reinforcing the importance of making conscious choices that contribute to a healthier and more responsible society. Such initiatives play an important role in empowering students with the awareness and values needed to build a positive and addiction-free future.
